Corris is a former slate village set within the Dyfi Forest. It is a great option for a family day out, with the following highlights:

Corris Railway - the first Narrow Gauge railway in Mid Wales, the Corris Railway runs guided trips nearly every weekend throughout the year. The round trip takes 50 minutes.

Corris Craft Centre - usually open daily from 10am-5pm (though check timings during the winter), Corris Craft Centre hosts a great selection of shops, attractions and activities in 9 craft studios across the site.  Our favourite is the personalised wooden toys and gifts studio - see if you can spot an example of their handiwork at the cottage!  Corris has also been recently joined by the Dyfi Distillery, a wonderful independent and family run gin distillery, with delicious gins distilled with local foraged ingredients - well worth a sample!

King Arthur's Labyrinth - a family favourite, this is a great opportunity to explore Wales's many myths and legends. King Arthur's Labyrinth (which starts at the Corris Craft Centre) takes you (by boat) deep into the mountains of Snowdonia, where a hooded boatman will tell you a mysterious tale.

Corris Mine Explorers - also starting at the Corris Craft Centre, this is a chance to explore a Welsh slate mine with an experienced guide.
